Cruse Bereavement Support - South West Surrey

The South West Surrey team provide a free service to anyone (adult, young people, and children) bereaved by death living in the Guildford, Surrey Heath, and Waverley Borough Council areas. They provide free information and advice and support through group and one to one counselling. They also have a free 'helpme' and mailing service.

Our helpline is open on Monday mornings between 9:30am and 12:30pm and on Wednesday afternoons between 12:30pm and 3:30pm.

Cruse Bereavement Support- Surrey North Area

Cruse Bereavement Support exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. The organisation provides counselling, information, advice, education, and training services.

Surrey North Area Cruse services include:

  • Face-to-face support sessions, either in your own home or at our meeting room in Chertsey.

  • Group sessions. Many bereaved people derive great comfort from meeting others in similar situations to themselves.

  • Telephone support and advice.

  • Support by email. This service provides a weekly email support exchange with a bereavement volunteer.

  • Information about the many aspects of bereavement as well as practical help and advice and signposting to a wide range of other support options.

  • Special support for children and young people, either at home or at school.
