Surrey Family & Mediation Services (SFMS)
SFMS has over 30 years experience of providing successful family mediation in Surrey. We offer a range of services including family mediation, programmes for separating parents and contact centres.
What the service do:
Family Mediation offers impartial, practical help for separating/divorcing couples and families with or without children. Meetings are held in one of 7 offices in Surrey. We also offer Skype mediation, legal aid assessment and assistance for mediation.
Through mediation and support services:
- Provide parents with information to help them make decisions that are right for them and their children without resorting to legal proceedings
- Help children to make their voice heard in the separation and divorce process through free child consultations
- Help parents to resolve financial and practical arrangements
- Support children to keep contact with both parents and other family members after separation and divorce
This is done through mediation, parenting courses Separated Parenting Information Programmes (SPIP) and provision of a contact centre (safe environment for children).
