Hale Community Fridge and Cupboard

The Hale Community Fridge and Cupboard aims to reduce food waste by collecting surplus stock from local supermarkets and making this food available to the local community. Opening hours are available on its Facebook page or website, you can then visit to see if you can use any of the food available to prevent it going to waste. The food available always varies but can include fruit, vegetables, bread, tinned and packet food, frozen meals, frozen meat and fish etc.

The Community Fridge and Cupboard is free to all, regardless of financial situation. There is also a large cupboard in the garden for fruit, vegetables and bread, meaning that food is accessible outside of the opening times.
