Direct Payments

Direct Payments are one form of managing a Personal Budget allocated to an individual within their Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plan. They are paid to the individual, meaning that they can take control of the funding that is made available to arrange the services, support and care that is considered necessary to meet the needs and outcomes specified in their EHC plan. They are designed to give people greater independence by letting them decide what support they receive.

People of all ages can use direct payments.
