REMA (Race Equality and Minorities Achievement)

The REMA Team work with schools and other stakeholders to promote inclusive practices and ensure that the requirements of equality legislation and other statutory entitlements are met, with regard to children and young people from ethnic minority communities.

REMA's services are delivered by specialist teachers, traveller education support workers and bilingual support workers, who cover a range of 40 languages. Interpreting services for initial and on-going meetings with parents of new EAL pupils can be arranged, as part of the Surrey Schools & Learning interpreting service.
