Funding, grants and financial assistance
If your child has additional needs and disabilities, you could get financial help to make sure their needs are met.
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is the main benefit for children under 16 with a condition or disability.
- Disabled Facilities Grants is money from your local council to make changes to your home to make it accessible for a person with disabilities (including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and autism).
- A Parent Carer grant is a payment to support Surrey parents who have a disabled child (under 18) who is not currently receiving services from Surrey County Council.
- For more information, see the Financial assistance and entitlements for carers page.
