WorkFit

WorkFit is the Down’s Syndrome Association’s employment programme which brings together employers and jobseekers who have Down’s syndrome. It is a tailored service dedicated to training employers about the learning profile of people who have Down’s syndrome so that they can be supported in the workplace. All services and support are free.

We recognise paid work is not right for everyone. The employment options may include paid work, supported apprenticeships/internships, work experience and voluntary Work.

Yip4Youth Club (Epsom and Ewell)

Yip4Youth Epsom is our fun and friendly youth club, weekend, and school holiday scheme for disabled young people 12-18 – including young people who need 1:1 support.

YMCA Boccia Club

Children and adults of all ages with additional needs or disabilities can enjoy the world of the Paralympic sport of Boccia with YMCA East Surrey.

As Boccia is played from a seated position it is an ideal sport for players in wheelchairs but is enjoyed by players of all ages and abilities. Boccia is a social and interactive game where participants can develop their teamwork and hand/eye coordination skills. We do ask that participants are supported throughout the session by a parent or carer.
