Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA)
We are the Phone-paid Services Authority, the UK regulator for content, goods and services charged to your phone bill.
That means everything from music subscriptions, gaming, and voting in TV talent shows, to competitions, adult services and directory enquires calls. The important thing is that your purchase is charged to a phone bill.
We help to look after your interest by setting and enforcing rules for providers of phone-paid services. We check every issue that you report to us and take action when we need to. The information which you give us can help us to identify problems in the phone-paid services market.
Most of the time, we can resolve issues by talking to service providers. But where we need to launch an investigation, or even issue a fine, prohibition from the market, or other sanction we do.
We aren’t here to take up individual cases or pursue refunds unless they have been ordered by our Tribunal. If you are looking for a refund, we’d recommend contacting the service provider first.
