Street Angels

Street Angels are volunteers who believe that people deserve care and love in their time of need. Those needs could be as a result of homelessness, intoxication, drug abuse, assault or any other issue which has caused personal distress or the potential for physical harm.

Street Angels, works in partnership with Surrey Police and Safer Guildford Partnership. They operate in Woking town centre on Friday and Saturday nights, from 10pm until all the clubs and bars are closed, which is around 4am.

Street talk

YMCA East Surrey’s qualified youth workers engage with young people throughout East Surrey. We aim to support young people who display risk factors linked to them becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or offending, by helping them reach their full potential.

Street Talk is our extensive detached youth work programme. Working in the heart of local communities engaging young people in their space, with a view to building up a rapport, offering information, advice and guidance, as well as organising activities and promoting the local youth offer.
