With professional staff, including mental health practitioners able to carry out mental health assessments if needed, wellbeing workers peer support in a welcoming setting, Safe Havens can offer an appropriate alternative to A&E for those experiencing mental health problems and their carers.
There are five Safe Havens open in town centre locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire to residents of any district or borough within this area. So, for example, if you live in Epsom you could go to the Guildford Safe Haven.
Virtual out-of-hours support
Each of our five Safe Havens is now offering people experiencing a mental health crisis access to an out-of-hours virtual service. This means people can receive expert guidance and support from mental health nurses and trained mental health practitioners without leaving home.
