Family Rights Group

Family Rights Group are a national charity that advises parents, grandparents, relatives and friends about their rights and options when social workers or courts make decisions about their children’s welfare. They work with parents whose children are in need, at risk or are in the care system and with wider family members and friends who are raising children (known as kinship carers). They promote policies and practices that keep children safe within their family and strengthen the family and community networks of those children who cannot live at home.

The foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area. It works in partnership with care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers and police to identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher. These can then be redeemed for a minimum of three days emergency food at the nearest foodbank.

Fegans

Open Mondays to Fridays 8am to 5pm

Fegans is a Christian charity who offer counselling to children from 4 to 18 in schools or at their offices. Its Counsellors deal with issues including abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, and depression. Emotional and practical support is also offered to parents and carers who are finding it difficult to cope, through one to one and group sessions.
