Peer Productions

Peer Productions work with young people and community groups in a number of ways.

They offer a one year free actor development programme for young people (aged 17 – 23 years) to train as actors and peer educators. They create and tour original educational plays to schools and youth settings which tackle the issues that matter most to young people.

They also deliver drama outreach projects for disadvantaged young people, using creativity as a tool to enable them to achieve their full potential and make positive life choices. Groups we have worked with include young carers, young parents, learning disabled young people, adults with mental health issues, and homeless young people.

Silvermere Gymnastics - SEND (Mainly) Structured Sessions

These structured, reduced capacity sessions with our fantastic gymnastics coaches offer the opportunity for your child to develop and grow in confidence with their gymnastics skills. Our gymnastics classes offer children living with SEND the chance to get creative and feel supported and valued as they move through sessions that are fostered and developed around the same structure each week- with the element of choice integrated into this structure. Every 2-3 weeks our skill stations will focus on new skills, providing the opportunity to enhance the children's skill curriculum, confidence and growth. At the end of the session, children/young people have the opportunity for some free play on our equipment! Twice a year the gymnasts will have 2-3 weeks to work towards gaining a new badge and certificate of achievement (should they wish) in a relaxed and supportive environment. The classes we offer at Silvermere Gymnastics hold up to 8 children and have 2 coaches and an assistant. Even with this level of support we do ask that parents/carers come into the space to provide encouragement and further support where necessary (and maybe learn a few skills themselves!) so that we can get to know and support your children in the best way we can. Our aim is to ensure that our more structured SEND classes are an enjoyable and fun environment for all, where every child feels safe, valued and like they can progress in their gymnastics.

Silvermere also provide 1:1 coaching support for children with SEND to attend mid week peak time group sessions between January and March as well as additional support during half term camps.
