IDL Literacy and Numeracy

IDL Literacy is a cloud-based intervention software, specifically designed to help improve the reading and spelling ability of those with dyslexia and dyslexic tendencies. IKWRO

IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern and Afghan women and girls living in the UK who are facing Forced Marriage, Child Marriage, “Honour” Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation and Domestic Violence.

We offer advice in Farsi, Dari, Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, Pashto and English and run a free counselling service in Farsi, Kurdish, Arabic and English.

Include Choir

They Include Choir is an inclusive choir that anyone can join. Our members include people with and without understanding or speaking difficulties. We use Makaton signing when we sing, as well as lots of other inclusive communication techniques, so joining the choir is a fantastic way to learn skills, as well as enjoying singing and performing together. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday 7.30pm to 9pm. No musical experience necessary, parents welcome. Inclusive Calm Swimming Session

Friday 10:30am-11:30am.

An inclusive swim session suitable for those who would like to build a relationship with water, in a calm environment. Session main pool every Friday 10:30-11:30. The cost is £3.50 for a non-members and carers are FREE. (One adult to two under 8's)

Inclusive Rugby Wimbledon RFC

Every Sunday from September to April 10.00 to 11.00

Wimbledon RFC run an inclusive rugby session for children who have Special Educational Needs and Additional vulnerabilities. They will run every Sunday, during the season at the club from 9.30 am to 10.30am.

The aim is for the children to do what loads of other children do by taking part in the great sport of rugby and that is have fun. They will also learn new skills along the way and develop in a variety of ways but that's a bonus.

Inclusive Swimming Lessons at Egham Orbit

Achieve Lifestyle have been working alongside Runnymede Access Liason Group (RALG) to provide an inclusive environment for swimmers with disabilities, by making the new swimming pools at Egham Orbit as accessible as possible. Egham Orbit facilities include:

- Dedicated pool-changing rooms for people with limited mobility with great access to all poolside areas.

- Moveable floors to provide accessible swimming for adults and children

- Wheelchair storage on poolside

- Adjustable height handrail in small pool

- Accessible parking

- Hoists for entry and exit into all pools including spa pool.

Independence at Home

Independence at Home provide grants for people with a disability or long-term illness towards the cost of adaptations, equipment, or other things to help you to manage at home. The grant must go towards an item to assist a child to live at home. They cannot provide grants when the item may be provided through public funds. They welcome grant applications from Referrers – health or social care professionals, or advisors or support workers from charities or other community organisations supporting an adult or child who needs our help.

The Intensive Interaction Institute

Intensive Interaction is an approach designed to help people at early levels of development, people who have autism, and people who have severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties.

Intensive Interaction teaches and develops the 'Fundamentals of Communication', attainments such as: use and understanding of eye contacts, facial expressions, vocalisations leading to speech, taking turns in exchanges of conversation and the structure of a conversation.
