SEES (specialist early education service)
Specialist Early Education Service (SEES) is a home visiting support service for families of pre-school children with additional needs.
The SEES team work closely with other relevant professionals to ensure that everyone works towards shared goals. This liaison may also include visits and support to pre-school settings.
SEES provide a range of early years home-based programmes:
- Portage
- Communication and Play Programme (CAPP)
- Local Early Autism Programme (LEAP)

SEN Dolphin Swim Club (Surrey Sports Park)
Every Friday from 11:45am to 12:45pm
Dolphins swim sessions are friendly, term-time sessions open to anyone who feels their physical or mental health would benefit from joining the groups. Attendees to current sessions include people regaining fitness following hip replacements, a couple who find regular swim sessions a challenge due to poor eyesight, and a number of participants with various mental health impairments. Please note these sessions are also available to adults and children with additional needs and disabilities. These sessions are available every Friday from 11:45am to 12:45pm at Surrey Sports Park.
The sessions are designed to be sociable and everyone is made to feel welcome with swimmers aided by personal care and in-water volunteers including a physiotherapist. All swim abilities are catered for and attendees can enjoy as much time in the pool as they like. Parents/carers can also join the swimming sessions!

SEND Families Coffee and Play
A safe and non-judgmental space for parents and children with additional needs. Parents can come with or without their children (depending on whether they are at school or pre-school or not). You'll find a warm drink, snacks and a listening ear. A place to make friends and meet other families who have children with additional needs who 'get it'. Sometimes we may have guests from relevant organisations coming to the group. We also have a WhatsApp group you can join if you wish- where people share ideas and resources and arrange their own meet-ups.

Sensory Parties by Embracing Arts
They want every child to feel special, whether it's on their birthday or part of a community celebration! They’ve built on our experience of performing interactive shows for children with complex needs to create a special party performance. Sensory Rooms
Monday to Wednesday 9.30am-4.30pm. Term time only Thursdays and Fridays 9.30am-12.30pm by appointment
Our Sensory Room is a safe and calm space for children up to the age of 11. The room is equipped to provide either gentle stimulation or relaxation through touch, sound, smell and a range of visual features. Sensory rooms are particularly useful for babies and children with sight or hearing problems, or for children with varying degrees of attention deficiency disorders. Colourful bubble tubes, glitter balls, tactile panels and interactive sound and light panels encourage hand and eye coordination, and the development of social and language skills. A water bed and projected moving images with sounds and music promote relaxation. The Sensory Room is open at various times Monday to Friday. £1 per family for a 45 minute session.
