Surrey Adult Social Care Services

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

Adult Social Care services provided or arranged by Surrey County Council aim to help vulnerable adults to maintain their independence and promote their well-being. Adult Social Care can also assess the needs of carers who look after a vulnerable adult.

Services are provided to people who have special educational needs and disabilities, mental health conditions and the elderly.

Information and advice and assessments are free. However, there may be a cost to any care and support services you receive from Adult Social Care. A financial assessment will be made to work out how much you can afford to pay towards this cost.

The Surrey Centre for Eating Disorders

The Surrey Centre for Eating Disorders is a non-residential clinic dedicated to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. They provide individual therapy, counselling and dietetic support for young people (13+) and adults who have a difficult relationship with food. They also offer family therapy, one to one therapy and family education and support.

Surrey Cycle Training

Surrey County Council cycle training scheme is accredited to the National Standard for Cycle Training. All of our instructors are Surrey County Council employees and are nationally accredited, have passed all safeguarding checks.

There is a full cycle training programme in schools. Due to a grant from Active Travel England, we are able to offer a 100% discount for any adult cycle training until March 2024.

Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care Telephone Counselling Service

Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care (SDAC) operates a helpline open from Monday to Friday, 9.00am till 7.00pm for users, parents, siblings and friends.

They also provide telephone counselling to enable people who are unable to attend appointments the opportunity to engage with a counsellor for a structured 12-session programme at a time which suits them. Referrals are made by any of the services listed within the directory or by calling Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care directly. Free and confidential.
