Christians Against Poverty (CAP) - Guildford
CAP is a free national debt counselling charity. Guildford CAP offer a range of services such as:
- Debt Help Service - the trained Debt Coaches visit each person or couple in their own home; CAP recommends a route out of debt, does all the negotiating with creditors, manages a debt repayment plan, and local volunteers support each person until the day they are debt-free.
- CAP Job Club - offers practical help to identify strengths and skills, prepare a great CV and gain the tools needed to find work. Based on an eight session course, and with one-to-one support from our trained Job Coaches, they aim to provide a friendly, relaxed environment in which jobseekers can build their confidence and find work.
- Money Coaching courses and Life Skills courses - teaches budgeting skills such as saving money on food, bills and how to manage money.

Circles UK
A Circle of Support and Accountability is a group of volunteers from a local community which forms a Circle around an offender. The Circle aims to provide a supportive network and offers guidance in such things as developing social skills, finding suitable accommodation or helping the core member to find appropriate hobbies and interests. The aim is to reduce the risk of sexual reoffending.
Circles South East works in partnership with Police and Probation services.
