National Autistic Society - Employment Module

The NAS has a free online employment module which has been designed to support autistic adults and young people into employment. It looks at the steps involved in applying for work, interviewing tips, and starting work. Aiming to allow users to create a personalised profile, which they can then use when attending interviews or starting work.

National Autistic Society - Transition Support Service

Free transition support service for young autistic people aged 14 years plus and their parents or carers, looking for information and advice on the transition to adulthood. This includes young people preparing to leave school as well as further and higher education.

National Autistic Society Clubs and Activities

Clubs are open to all children and young people with autism and Asperger syndrome who live in Surrey and run during in term-time only. The clubs offer a wide variety of fun activities in a safe, structured and autism-friendly environment and are all about having a good time. Everyone gets time to meet new friends, learn and play. The clubs aim to help children and young people to grow and develop their communication and social skills, become more independent, develop their confidence and boost self-esteem.

National Autistic Society Surrey Branch - Ashtead Parent to Parent Support Group

The National Autistic Society (NAS) Surrey Branch parent to parent support groups are run by volunteers in a number of towns in Surrey. These are informal opportunities to meet with other parents and carers of autistic children and young people and to share experiences and our knowledge about local services. A parent support group meets in Ashtead, led by volunteer Tarah Basu. Dates and times of meetings are published in the NAS Surrey Branch newsletter that is available on the homepage of the website:

The Ashtead meetings will alternate between morning and evening. Please always contact the host by email for confirmation that the meeting is going ahead, and to let her know that you will be coming.
