Veterans Breakfast Club Merstham (East Surrey)

We are a group of Veterans and Serving Members of Her Majesties Armed Forces. Like other Veteran’s Breakfast Clubs around the country and overseas, our ethos is mutual support. It works because we all have a similar humour, outlook and the social life we now enjoy is like our service days.

All service veterans are welcome. Just turn up. Meeting time is third Saturday of the month at 9.30am.

Veterans Hub

The Hub is a key place for veterans and their families to come to in times of crisis and during tough times. In addition to this, we hope the Hub will become a staging post to other services, as well as offering drop in clinics and advice services from the mainstream charities and local government services. The Veterans Hub, above all things, will bring together veterans within the local community so that none of them ever feel left behind or forgotten about.

Viewpoint Centre

TheHorseCourse Restart programme aims to help hard to reach local young people, who are or at risk of social exclusion through horse powered interventions to help them reintegrate more positively into society.

Participants are by referral only, from Schools & PRUs, Social Services, NHS Mental Health Services, Troubled Families, Offender Services, and other specialist agencies.

Our participants are referred because they are ‘stuck’ or disengaged from talk-based support. We teach, rehearse, and repeat key resilience skills in an intensive and challenging, but fun, 5-day programme with feedback in-the-moment from specially trained horses and 1-to-1 facilitator support.
