Horley Food Bank

Horley Food Bank offer free emergency food and basic toiletries to those in crisis and will help them as part of a package of support being offered by local agencies such as CAB, probation services, children’s centres, health visitors, doctors’ surgeries, social services, housing trusts, the police and local schools. Whatever your situation, they offer a warm welcome, sign posting and a listening ear.

Horley Food Club

Fridays 12.30pm-32pm

The Food Club serves residents of Horley, at Regent House Community Centre, Albert Rd, Horley RH6 7JA on Fridays from 11.30pm to 1pm.

Food clubs work with the food distribution charity FareShare to support residents experiencing financial hardship with access to food and basic supplies. They can help provide a sustainable solution to food poverty and reduce the number of people needing to use emergency food banks on a long-term basis.

The club is open to self-refer, and an application form is completed on the first visit. A year’s membership costs £1 and then £2 per weekly visit, which will give access to food valued between £10-£14. Includes fresh fruit and vegetables, subject to availability.

Horsell Care

Horsell Care is a neighbourhood care scheme aimed at filling gaps in existing services for the elderly, the disabled or those who have temporary mobility problems due to illness or accidents. Volunteers help with a range of tasks such as collecting prescriptions, doing weekly or occasional shopping, providing transport for medical appointments and friendly visits.

Please call the helpline (which is an answerphone) and leave your name and telephone number for the duty volunteer to call you back to discuss your request for support.

Hostage UK is an independent charity that supports hostages and their families, during and after a kidnap. Hostage UK provides referrals to counselling or other specialist agencies and puts people of similar experiences in touch with one another.
