Schools and Early Years Child Protection Consultation Line

Professionals working in schools and childcare settings can call the consultation line to get advice from a qualified social worker about a child or family they work with. The social worker will discuss how the school or setting could help the child and family, and help the professional to decide whether they need to ask the parent for consent to make a request for support to children's social care. Formal requests for support cannot be made through this service as it is for consultation only.

Secondary School Autism Outreach Service - The Abbey School

The Abbey School offers a free outreach service to west Surrey mainstream secondary schools, to help improve support for students with autism. The outreach service aims to build skills of mainstream staff and suggest strategies for schools to help students meet their potential. Class observations and meeting pupils are also offered.

Students must be referred to the service by their school, but parents can request outreach involvement by approaching the SENCo/ Inclusion Manager of their child's school.

SEND Tutoring

SEND Tutoring provides tuition to children with special needs from qualified teachers with QTS. Face-to-face and online options are available.

SEND Tutoring provides tuition to children with special educational needs and disabilities. All of the tuition is provided by tutors who are qualified teachers who have the right experience and qualifications.

In addition, there is a second arm of SEND Tutoring that is made up of Specialists that provide advice and guidance to parents trying to make sense of existing reports, needing guidance, or wanting to apply for certain assessments and who are unsure of the process and what they are entitled to.

SEND Tutoring is designed to be a go-to service for wraparound service that helps the child as well as their family.

Primary and secondary tutors and tuition are available and tuition can start from 3/4 years old to 25 years old.
