Strive Mobility was created to make life just a little easier for disabled users and their careers. Strive understand that for anyone with a disability, it’s not always easy to get out; having to always think about the equipment that you might need to get somewhere and what mobility aids you might need once you’re there, can be stressful. With Strive Mobility you no longer have to worry about this. You can now hire wheelchairs, mobility scooters, profile beds and other mobility equipment on a long- or short-term basis so that they’re available for you to use at your destination

Support After Murder & Manslaughter (SAMM)

SAMM provides a wide range of peer support services to people bereaved by murder and manslaughter. All services are available for the bereaved, regardless of how long ago they lost a loved one. They support close relatives, wider family members and communities including people affected by mass fatality events.

Surrey Adult Social Care Services

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

Adult Social Care services provided or arranged by Surrey County Council aim to help vulnerable adults to maintain their independence and promote their well-being. Adult Social Care can also assess the needs of carers who look after a vulnerable adult.

Services are provided to people who have special educational needs and disabilities, mental health conditions and the elderly.

Information and advice and assessments are free. However, there may be a cost to any care and support services you receive from Adult Social Care. A financial assessment will be made to work out how much you can afford to pay towards this cost.

Surrey Crisis Fund

The Surrey Crisis Fund (formerly known as the Surrey Local Assistance Scheme) is a discretionary fund run by Surrey County Council. The scheme provides financial support for immediate needs after a disaster or in an emergency, where no other options are available. They may be able to assist with:

  • food and toiletries
  • certain essential household items; please note they do not provide replacement items
  • certain utilities
  • emergency travel costs (hospital appointments, job interviews and so on)

Other support may be available and this will be considered when you apply. Repeat applications will be considered but the fund aims to support people for one occasion and signpost to long-term help to prevent ongoing need.
