Volunteer Host Service

The Volunteer Host Service provides emergency accommodation on a short term basis for 16 to 21 year olds when they've temporarily had to leave their family home. The service relies on volunteers to offer a spare room and safe and secure environment for these young people to stay, while efforts are made to try and resolve their accommodation difficulties.

Voyage Care

Walton & Hersham Foodbank

They provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis.

Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, welfare officers, the police and probation officers amongst others can give foodbank vouchers to those in need.

They have two distribution centres:

  • Wednesdays 10-12 - St Peters Church, Burwood Road, Hersham KT12 4AA

West Molesey Foodbank

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK, Trussell Trust foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis.

Foodbanks partner with a wide range of care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers and police to identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher.
