The National Childbirth Trust - Godalming and Cranleigh
The Godalming & Cranleigh district branch of the NCT works with the local community to support parents. They run a range of events, groups and ante natal and post natal classes, all of which are open to everyone.
They aim to help new parents and parents-to-be through the transition to parenthood, as well as offering plenty of opportunities to socialise, both at child-friendly events and at occasions just for parents.
The supportline provides practical and emotional support with feeding your baby and general enquiries for parents, members and volunteers.

Home Start Over 5's and SEND Parenting Support
Support is available for parents who live in Epsom and Ewell, whose children are over 5 and: -
- Are of primary school age
- Have a child/ren with SEND/ADHD/ASD
- Have a child/ren with emotional/behavioural challenges
- Are parents who would benefit from accessing support
Support on offer includes: -
- The Open Doors Café – in local schools. A chance to chat to other parents and a Home-Start coordinator.
- 1 to 1 parenting support and advice
- Family Links Parenting Courses
- Parenting/SEND Workshops
- Help to find appropriate support within the community.

Family Learning - First Steps to Understanding Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance
Monday 25th November 2024
This course is a FREE online 2-hour three-week course, you will be able to discuss early signs of your child struggling at school, and the common reasons of school non-attendance, this course will introduce methods for finding out why your child is avoiding school and you will learn on how to best communicate with your child’s school, and what to do at crisis point. There will also be opportunities to talk about your situation, feel supported and problem solve together.
- Understand the variety of reasons why your child will not attend school or take part in some lessons
- Understand what reasonable adjustments can be agreed with school to support your child.
- Be confident advocating for your child
