Makaton Workshops (Delivered by Makaton Tutor and Ambassador)
I am a licensed Makaton Tutor and Ambassador. I provide Makaton training workshops to parents, carers and professionals.
I am a huge advocate for using Makaton within the Early Years and can provide lots of inspiration for embedding it into both settings and home-life.
I am licensed to deliver a range of Makaton workshops including:
- Makaton Signing for Babies and Families (MSBF) - this is a great course for those with/working with children in the Early Years and gives lots of inspiration for the introduction of Makaton using stories, songs and activities, it covers Makaton signs and symbols right up to potty training stage.
- Taster sessions on a variety of topics (please note that the Taster Session is not a full Makaton course, and therefore won't give you the skills needed to introduce Makaton within your setting but it is a lovely introduction to Makaton)
- Levels 1-4
- Safeguarding
- Frontline - General Wellbeing
- Frontline - Emergency Services
- Frontline - Nursing: inc. District Nursing
- Frontline - Learning Disability Teams
- Frontline - Dentistry
- Know and Grow - a Christian Faith based course
These workshops are all priced at the Makaton RRP (plus postage where applicable) and are available online via Zoom, in the evenings and on Sundays. If you’re interested in attending any Makaton workshops, please do e-mail me or find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/PoppinsPoppetsUK and I’ll be happy to help you on your Makaton journey.
