Family Time Parenting Courses

The courses offer a collection of resources providing tools, practical advice and support to parents of children and teenagers. The aim is to empower parents to move from simply surviving family life to being proactive in leading families that are not only strong in themselves but also seek to make a difference in the communities in which they live.

Family Voice Surrey (FVS)

Family Voice Surrey is the Parent Carer Forum for families of children and young people (0-25) in Surrey with any Special Educational Need or Disability. It is run by parents for parents. Their main aim is to shape services by working with decision-makers in Education, Health, and Social Care to improve the SEND system for families.

They believe that the voice of the family and the knowledge and expertise that comes from experience is crucial in designing any policy or provision for our children.

Family Voice Surrey 16+ group

Family Voice are running a monthly group for parent carers of children aged 16-25.

The group offers the chance to chat with other parent carers of young people with additional needs, exchange tips and advice, and hear from expert speakers. Each month there will be a different topic.

Family Voice Surrey- FASD group for parent carers

The Family Voice Surrey FASD Group is for Surrey parent carers of children and young people with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder – with or without a diagnosis. The Group meets on a regular basis, both online and in-person, and provides an opportunity to share experiences and exchange advice.

Membership of the FASD Group is free for Family Voice Surrey members. We also have a WhatsApp Group for daily chat.

The Farming Community Network (FCN)

The FCN is a national charity which supports farming people and their families at times when they are facing problems whether they are the result of the farm business or family. They run a confidential telephone helpline were you can talk to a sympathetic person who understand farmers and rural life but isn’t directly involved with your situation.

Farnham Foodbank - town centre

The foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area. It works in partnership with care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers and police to identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher. These can then be redeemed for a minimum of three days emergency food at the nearest foodbank.
