Light Cinema Autism Friendly Showings

The Light cinema in Addlestone holds regular screenings for children and adults with autism and their friends. The sound is turned down and the lights are dimmed, not turned off. CHIPS

CHIPS was founded on behalf of the UK Gaming industry, in order to raise funds to purchase specialised powered wheelchairs for youngsters with varying disabilities.

​CHIPS provides wheelchairs for children who would otherwise have no way of getting around on their own. CHIPS funds the wheelchairs that the NHS cannot or will not provide and that the parents cannot afford to buy.

SEDSconnective

SEDSconnective can support parents and adults working with children and young people in education, health, care and early work experiences with symptomatic hypermobility (formally for adults EDS or HSD ) and who are neurodivergent. A formal diagnosis is not needed. They are experts in these areas and a user led charity. They can offer peer to peer support meetings, resources, specialist webinars and events and training. They are UK wide!

SEND Advice Surrey

Every Friday from 23rd April (term time only)from 10am to 12pm.

SEND Advice Surrey is an impartial and confidential service that is at arm's length from the Local Authority. They offer information, advice, and support around special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) for parents and young people. You can book a slot at their new Face to Face Friday sessions which run from 10am to 12pm in term time. Slots are 30 mins long and are via MS Teams.

Contact sendadvice@surreycc.gov.uk for more information or to book a 30min slot. You will be able to speak to one of the trained Advisors on any aspect of the EHCP process, appeals, mediation or even how to apply for an EHCP.
